My review of Rescuing Cara by Danielle Pays

Here is my review oI Rescuing Cara by Danielle Pays.

Blurb:

Ten years as a CIA agent, and I have never been caught off guard. But former Navy SEAL Grayson Walsh obliterates that record when he holds me tight and jumps us out of an enemy helicopter. Now he’s in my bed each night as my fake husband while we work to take down an arms dealer. Night by night, Grayson etches away the walls shielding my battered heart, but they may be too tough for even him to bust through.

Cara Harding is a colleague, but playing her fake husband is blurring lines in my mind. I want her. Bad. My team knows it, too. They won’t give me a break. If they knew the truth about my family, they would. But when Cara is kidnapped by our target, nothing will stop me from finding her. I don’t know what I’m walking into, but I’m not walking out without her. And when I find her, I won’t let another day go by without telling her how I feel. [Amazon]

My review:

This story is part of the Special Forces: Operation Alpha Fan-Fiction world! It is a steamy romantic suspense with twists and turns you won’t see coming. His team knows he as a crush on her. I’ve been fantasizing about this guy for longer than I care to admit.

Grayson aka Peaches is a former Navy SEAL. Now he works for Morgan Thompson Security. I have worked with Cara I the past. “When I overheard Cara’s boss stating she missed her check-in and was missing, I knew I had to go wherever she was. I hadn’t intended to get captured.” “You ever jump out of a helicopter?” I ask her.

Cara works for the CIA. Her assignment was to watch Max from afar. Something is wrong. Why do I feel lightheaded? My eyes flutter open. The room is dark. Where am I? “There are two people in the room, Max and a woman. He laughs. We’re in Brazil now. Beautiful country. You’ll enjoy it.” You’re my girl now. I have less than twenty-four hours to get out of this mess.
