Here is my review of Merried: An Unstoppable Christmas by Heather Slade.
She’s a former CIA agent with a badass reputation.
He’s a wealthy FBI agent with a knack for taking down serial killers.
When the holidays come, their chemistry is UNSTOPPABLE.
It’s hard to shake the pain. Losing my husband destroyed me, and now, I’m still picking up the pieces and trying to move on. Helping the Invicibles keeps me active—and sane. Let’s be honest, I have to take one day at a time. But now, they want me to come to their holiday party and frolic in the festivities of the season. And that’s the last thing I want—especially since for the first time in ages, I’m starting to crave someone else—someone who isn’t my husband.
With a serial killer caught and behind bars, it seems like the perfect time to celebrate the holidays. And teaming up with the determined and fiery Casper has me longing for more this season. Taking her to the Invincibles’ party seems like just thing she needs. But when it all blows up and she disappears, I’ll do anything to make this the start of a very MERRY time. [Amazon]
A romantic, holiday romance. A good start to a new series. “I’d noticed how attractive he was the first time we met.” “The woman was hauntingly beautiful, with jet-black hair and intense violet-blue eyes the color of a blue jay’s feathers.” I wondered if she’d ever open up and let another man get close to her.
Calla aka Casper is a former CIA agent. She is still picking up the pieces and trying to move on after the death of her husband. But helping the Invincibles keeps me active. It’s Christmas time and the Invincibles are throwing a party. Rile is insisting that I attend. “I’d managed to avoid Christmas parties, Christmas cards, Christmas everything since my husband died. I’m not going to a Christmas celebration to talk business or for any other reason.”
Spider is a wealthy FBI agent with a knack for taking down serial killers. He had worked with Calla while working a serial killer investigation in the Adirondack State Park. Now it seems the Invincibles are trying to recruit him. “I’d received a call from Rile. He’d not only invited me to the Christmas party Casper mentioned, but he’d asked if I could convince her to attend as well.” Taking her to the Invincibles’ party seems like just the thing she needs.

Looks like an interesting story. Spider seems to have a real gift for detective work and what is more entertaining than uncovering a serial killer … Thanks for the review and have a great day ::
