Here is my review of Cowboy by Maggie Carpenter.
Blurb:
Carly Kincaid’s face is flaming red. The smart and sassy cowgirl is being scolded by her sexy new boss. Though she’s in danger of losing her job, there’s a clause in her contract that offers a different option, one she hopes he’ll consider. Just the thought of the old-fashioned discipline is making her butterflies flutter and her toes curl.
Carrying secrets critical the success of his ranch, Keith Parker must avoid romance and enforce his rules. Carly has put the ranch at risk. He should fire her but he’s torn. In spite of his resolve he’s crazy about the blue-eyed beauty.
A killer storm hits. As Carly falls victim to a near-fatal accident their feelings bubble to the surface, but as their passion ignites, eerie events surface, and an enemy from Keith’s past lurks in the shadows. [Amazon]
My Review:
This is a good erotic romance. The chemistry is off the charts. “You may find a better rider, or a person with more experience, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone more dedicated to a horse’s welfare than I am.”
Keith had built the ranch from the ground up. He is a very private person, doesn’t trust easily, and is set in his ways. Today he is interviewing another horse trainer. When she walked in, her beauty took his breath away. He started with his go to the first question. “Tell me why I should hire you?” Carly surprised him. He liked her moxie and she was the most qualified candidate.
Carly was looking for a job, her dream job. She had an interview at Dream Horse Ranch. Walking into his office, her breath caught. He was gorgeous. The first question out of his mouth was “Tell me why I should hire you?” Her answer took her by surprise. “Because you won’t find anyone better.”
